Nightwalk 05:26
After the storm is over I walk through the night under the lantern‘s while the sky clears up After the storm is over I walk through the silence a light wind from the rooftops while I turn around After the storm is over I walk through the streets as long as it needs as long as it takes while my heart clears up After the storm is over I'm curious just too curious where it leads me even if it hurts I won't turn around

The word’s I send out they did not return The hands I reached out they did not strike I can not resist to see what not is I can't avoid the hurt if its not is I can not resist to see what not is I can't avoid the hurt if its not is The returning silence it did not convince me your eyes they told me that it’s not too late I can not resist to see what not is I can't avoid the hurt if its not is I can not resist to see what not is I can't avoid the hurt if its not is oh is this a magical twist with a flick of his wrists a magical twist a magical twist

Masquerade 03:25
V1: sweet illusion / we had our time/ so lets us say bye bye V2: sweet illusion / a dissapointment / oh no oh no oh no / now the masquerade is over and we picked our clothes our dance was just one-sided passion in corner in dimed light when the music was over our mouths were quiet alone, irritated in the hall looking for a way to leave sweet illusion we had our time lets us say bye bye renouncing of your spell renouncing of your spell renouncing of your spell renouncing of your spell now the masquerade is over and we have given up this dance the host turned on the celeing - lights and made the shadows disappear as we stare on our feets while this room starts to feel cold we know the music won’t start again so let us say bye bye sweet illusion we had our time lets us say bye bye

Good Wind 05:18
days of icy tension days of dark, icy tension I laid under our weight laid under our angry weight I slept a dreamless night a unsettled dreamless night You never asked what you took from me? You never really asked what you took from me? I just move and defend I just move and defend I just move and defend and if you're coming back with all our weigh I call the good wind and just move and defend just move and defend just move and defend

in these days when it let lose you your faith crawl into your cave lock into this groove place the feel at the tip of feet with closed eyes you move in circels keep the beat and stay in the groove and flow out flow out keep the beat and stay in the groove and flow out flow out in these days when it hurt's your faith you're in your cave you're into this groove and as the feel swallows the room with closed eyes you move in circels keep the beat and stay in the groove and flow out flow out keep the beat and stay in the groove and flow out flow out

Black Coats 04:45
Whats coming up there in front of me sinister phantoms in dark coats my hands start to tremble short breath I fail to resist and step aside from this day one I avoid this place as the phantoms increase I feel trapped and I all I can think of is how not face not face them again what a none sense, none sense, none sense, don’t you recognize how, they delude you what a none sense, none sense, none sense, don’t let them do that to you, they delude you Whats coming up there in front of me, sinister phantoms in dark coats I fail to resist and step aside from this day one I avoid this place as the phantoms increase I feel trapped what a none sense, none sense, none sense, don’t let them do that to you, they delude you When I released from your spell on me When I released from your spell on me I reclaim this place I reclaim this place

about

The project has a distinct thread throughout that keeps things familiar, though every song brings something unpredictable and quite special to the stage. It’s an interesting collection that really presents a distinct stamp of identity with every moment. // Rebecca Cullen, stereostickman.com

I could tell right away with the psychedelic intro to the first track, Nightwalk, that this album was going to be right up my alley, and the rest of the song did not disappoint. In fact, the song builds into something even better as it goes on, adding drums and vocals into to the mix. Lots of times this kind of music can be ruined by out of place or obnoxious vocals, but in this case the vocals had just the right tone and effects. The singer has the right voice, without any annoying quirks or attitude. The artist took the song exactly where I expected (and wanted it to go,) right smack dab into a psychedelic, kaleidoscopic dreamland. // Anastim Ducray, stepkid.com

I really do love this artist and appreciated all of his past work as well as this release. There is immense talent here and I encourage you to take a listen. /// Matt Jensen, divideandconquermusic.com

he 5th Album by Dortmund based German artist David Kleinekottman who is clearly as prolific as he is talented. Ambient, experimental, art house and electronica in scope and influenced by Brian Eno, Elbow and Radiohead. I’d say those signposts mark Present Paradox out for closer inspection.

Present Paradox Germany

The music project "Present Paradox" by Dortmund-based David Kleinekottmann provides insights into the often opaque nature of the present. The result is a fusion of melancholic and danceable elements, expansive and intimate at the same time, diverse and yet familiar. Since 2013, Kleinekottmann has been regularly releasing LPs/EPs that move between indie, experimental rock and electronica. ... more
